'This entry is a collaborative work with the kids of Udayan Care Homes, in association with ArtReach India and with the help of Aryakrishnan Ra. ArtReach had invited me to participate in their volunteer residency which was a four-day long mural making workshop at the Udayan Care’s boys home located in Noida. This resulted in two murals which aligns with the idea of strange other worlds filled with imagination and wonder, and the wish to reach there. This comic strip takes from the murals and delves in the space of a new world where each creature is a unique creation from the imagination of each child. The narrative is simple and self-explanatory where a world is evolving and slowly the creatures of this world take up the entire space, just like us, humans on earth.'
 

Sonam Chaturvedi is a visual artist based in Baroda. She has done her BVA in sculpture from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in 2010-‘14, and MVA from Shiv Nadar University (Greater Noida) in 2014-‘16. She mainly works in the mediums of video installation, mixed media and Artists’ books.
